APaPS Study at Charité: Investigating Persistent Psychedelic Effects

The Psychedelic Substances Research Group at Charité Berlin has launched the APaPS project, a pioneering study focused on persistent perceptual and psychological symptoms following the use of psychedelics or entactogens. Led by Dr Tomislav Majić and his team, the study invites adults experiencing ongoing effects after taking substances like LSD, psilocybin, DMT, or MDMA to participate in this important research.

Participants in Germany can take part in a structured clinical interview. Neuropsychological testing will be carried out on some participants with their prior consent. This involves carrying out a number of tasks on cognitive performance levels in one appointment to see whether the symptoms have an impact on mental performance.

Importantly, there will also be an international component, with assessments planned for individuals outside of Germany who are living with symptoms.

If you are over 18 and suspect that your symptoms may be related to psychedelic or MDMA-type substances, you can contact the team directly at apaps-studie@charite.de to arrange a phone screening.
